Yes - there is an additional cost of £25 per hour and this is subject to availability.
Is your reception manned?
Yes, our reception is fully staffed and available 24 hours a day, with the exception of 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th December.
Is there complimentary WiFi?
Yes, there is free WiFi throughout our apartments and in our lounge.
Do you offer breakfast?
Yes, we offer a selection of delicious continental breakfast options at an additional charge that can be delivered to your apartment at a time of your choosing between 6.30am and 10.00am. Find our menu here.
Do you have lifts in the apartment buildings?
No, we have no lifts as our buildings are listed and we’re unable to install lifts. However, our concierges are always available to carry your luggage up and down stairs.
Does The Chester Residence have car parking?
We do not have any on-site parking, but there is metered parking outside The Chester Residence and in surrounding streets at a cost of £4 per hour Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 6.30pm.
More cost-effective parking is available a 15 minute walk away at the NCP cark park on Castle Terrace – spaces cannot be reserved and this is on a first come first served basis. Please note that this car park is not operated by The Chester Residence, so prices should be checked with the car park operator. Guests of The Chester Residence will receive a 50% discount on advertised prices (please ask for further information at reception).
How far is it to Edinburgh city centre?
It’s a 10-minute walk to or a short taxi journey to Princes Street.
How much is a taxi to or from Edinburgh airport?
The cost is dependent on traffic but should be in the region of £20 to £25.
Are you dog friendly?
The only dogs which are permitted are assistance dogs.
Do you have cots and high chairs?
Yes, we can provide both cots and high chairs on request.
Can we have extra beds in the apartments?
Yes, we can provide extra beds at a cost of £55 per night – children aged five and under stay free. Additional beds must be booked in advance of arrival and are subject to availability. If you require additional beds please check with us prior to booking.
Do you have a laundry service?
Yes, we provide an in-house laundry service daily (£20 per bag of up to 15 items). Dry cleaning can be arranged Monday to Saturday, with a same day service if delivered before 8.30am.
Do the apartments have washing machines?
No, there are no washing machines in the apartments, but we do offer a laundry service and dry cleaning service (see above).
What appliances are in the apartments?
All of our apartments have a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, a Nespresso coffee machine and supply of capsules, a toaster, a kettle, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a DVD player.
Can you organise walking tours or driving tours?
Yes, both walking and driving tours are available and can be booked through reception.
