There is a wealth of (often free) cultural activity in Edinburgh, with a range of museums and galleries catering for all tastes. All are within walking distance or a short taxi ride from The Chester Residence. Here are our favorites:
1) The National Gallery of Scotland

Housed in a striking neoclassical building situated at one end of Princes Street Gardens, the gallery features works by the likes of Da Vinci and the Impressionists.

2) Royal Museum

Thirty-six galleries host exhibitions covering a wide range of topics at The Royal Museum. Admission is free.

3) Royal Scottish Academy

The academy holds exhibitions of contemporary Scottish work, with the Royal Scottish Society of Watercolourists and the Society of Scottish Artists being frequent contributors.
