Head chef Stuart Muir serves Afternoon Tea at his Forth Floor Restaurant from Sunday to Friday and includes goodies like Scottish Smoked Salmon Brioche with Horseradish Cream, Black Pudding and Pork Sausage Roll, Lemon Meringue Tart and many more, complemented by a large selection of speciality teas.

Nestled away in a basement space in the New Town is Eteaket, a not-so-traditional tearoom that specialises in serving its famous afternoon tea on beautifully crafted tea stands. It’s a casual café that takes its food seriously. What’s included? Your choice of sandwich served on thick, homemade bread, a freshly baked scone with Devonshire clotted cream and a selection of patisseries. There’s a gluten free option, too!

On the other side of town, in the foodie haven that Leith has become, Mimi’s Bakehouse takes pride of place on The Shore. Step into the restaurant and shop for a 1950s-inspired journey of indulgence. Named after Scottish Casual Dining Chef of the Year and proprietor Mimi who runs the business with her family, the café serves ‘three layers of indulgence’, including dainty sandwiches and an ever-changing array of traybake goodies. The size of their treats is truly awe-inspiring, you have been warned!
